Life after a Kidney Transplant

The success of a kidney transplant depends firstly on the doctor who is performing it and the center for Kidney Transplant Delhi. However, the success and failure also depends on the after surgery care. A kidney transplant involver transplanting a healthy kidney inside another body. The human body is programmed to reject any foreign objects and therefore, it is of great importance to take proper care of the body after a kidney transplant so that the new kidney is accepted by the body. In the case of a Laser Prostate Surgery Delhi as well, proper after-surgery care is needed.

Immediate Care
In absence of any kind of complications, the patient is required to stay at hospital under observation for 5-10 days. The initial one or two days are usually spent in an ICU in order to monitor the patient’s conditions. The next few days are meant for the patients to recover and adjust to the regular routine. During these days the doctors instructs and guides the patient thoroughly regarding medication and lifestyle.

Long term care
Usually a transplant coordinator is assigned whom you would be contacting primarily on a regular basis. For a year from the transplant, the patient needs to visit the doctor on a weekly basis. After which you can move on to a personal nephrologist. Annual visits is mandatory including a complete medical and health checkup to make everything is alright. Also, during every visit to the doctor, you must be prepared for a simple blood test.
